Miss Trinity Ice

Miss Trinity Ice is an Auckland-based drag queen, producer, and MC who was born and raised in Hawke's Bay. She has lived in Auckland for 14 years, and credits the move with opening doors and allowing her to be herself. "Getting all dressed up for a show is a bit like putting your armour on," she says. "After all, we are all born naked, the rest is drag." Ice is passionate about supporting rainbow youth, drawing on her own experience growing up queer in a small provincial town. "I felt so alone — it was a dark journey so helping youth is so important to me." As producer of the cabaret show *Queen's Do Hawke's Bay*, she has brought a cast of drag queens back to her hometown.
